An Assault on Democracy
Inside the Conspiracy to Derail No Labels 2024 Presidential Ballot Access Project
No Labels spent over two years working to get ballot access for a 2024 Unity presidential ticket. We launched our effort because most Americans—and most of our members—wanted something better than a rematch of the 2020 election.
No Labels spent over two years working to get ballot access for a 2024 Unity presidential ticket. We launched our effort because most Americans—and most of our members—wanted something better than a rematch of the 2020 election.
Unfortunately, No Labels faced a well-funded and cynical conspiracy to deny their constitutional right to choose the leaders who represent them.
In November 2024, public documents from an ongoing court case revealed this conspiracy was more far-reaching and egregious than we ever imagined. Millions of dollars were spent to destroy the reputation of No Labels and its leaders, launch frivolous lawsuits, and blatantly interfere with our ability to gather petition signatures. One reporter who reviewed the court filings said the conspirators relied on an “array of underhanded schemes that put Watergate tricksters to shame.”
No Labels is working diligently to expose who was behind this and what they did because the tactics deployed against us are part of a well-worn playbook to destroy any leader or group who challenges entrenched interests in Washington. By shining a light on this conspiracy, we hope to prevent it from happening again to us or others who might try to create change in our government. This page contains key documents, stories, and other information detailing the conspiracy to derail No Labels’ 2024 ballot access work.
